Totally missed the post about temporary closing. Good idea. That’s why many news pages are forcing people to use facebook or cutting off comments all together.
I saw that move coming a couple of days ago. I’ve seen other forums that have an off-topic area solely devoted to politics, and I sure understand why now.

I am not sure what good it would do. Some people can turn any subject into a political discussion.

I only just noticed the announcement (as I avoid OT except when exceptionally bored, which today’s rain has made me). I wish the announcement had the appreciation thumbs as I would give it a big thumbs up. :encouragement:
Maybe the horse forums will see a little more action than 3-5 new threads per day now. :winkgrin:
So much for the “the horse forums will perk up again once people get used to Off Meds Forum being open all the time.”
People were posting their horse, farm and pet threads in the Off Meds forum just to get some attention for their actual equine issues. Kind of sad on a Horse forum when you have to do that.

Off Meds forum, LOL. It sure did seem that way at times. 
There are BBs wholly devoted to political rantings, erm, discussions, so I’m not sure why the nutbags, erm, passionate debaters, don’t take themselves to those instead of crazying up a horse BB.
Horse people are crazy enough without throwing political feeding frenzies into the mix! :lol:

I clearly need to go read the rainbow cake thread. It must be good somewhere into the thread because I started it and stopped after the first couple of pages.
I can’t click on the above link, so can’t comment about that in particular. Question though. Many posters shredded and disgraced our former President, and that is putting it mildly. Yet anything anti-obama gets shut down. Is this COTH or CNN ?
IMO, I thought a permanent O.T. Forum was ridiculous. (Although, O.T. days were practically once every few weeks anyway.) This is a Horse Forum, and it was obvious that the true Horse Forums were going to take a back seat, judging by the other O.T. days and weeks.
I’m so out of it, I thought we only had the off-topic forum on the holidays.
