Offspring by Casall
Be smart and breed to a stallion that could be the new Casall in four years when it comes to give good offspring. Corminth!!
Way ahead of you Harrie ! I have my Lavaletto / Acord II mare here pregnant with Cormint. He is making unbelievable children.

I don’t know about you guys but our approved Casall son “Dakota VDL” is a wonderful stallion here in the US to breed with!

Much like his father he’s sensible, careful, scoped, well built and an exceptional opportunity for breeders here. His foals have scored well in Holland already!

With the unfortunate loss of Quinar, we are certain that Dakota can offer NA breeders the continual quality the Holsteiner breed give us. If you can’t breed to Casall, then Dakota is an excellent alternative!

Cheers

Yes on the Holsteiner mare and yes on verband membership. You simply fill out a form and send them their money just like you do here and poof…you are a Holsteiner Verband member.

Of course you can get good mares. I just bought a premium Quinar / Cassini I mare in foal to Casall for a client in Maryland. It’s all in who you know.
Where are you located? And I hate to ask this, but do you have a website? We have come to respect your opinion… and I’ve probably said that before… on this forum. We are planning a trip to Germany for sometime in the near future… we’d love some thoughts on when to go, where to go and what to see.

Thank you for the kind words ! I’m only 3 hours north of you in Southern VA .

No website Cartier. You won’t find these horses on any website.

I go every year and sometimes twice. I speak several times a week with breeders and usually have a good feel of current events.

Very good Harrie ! we were talking good about him before the show results…HA ! HA !

I bred Cormint to a Quinar / Corofino mare from the Lord stamm for a friend of mine last year and this years colt is as good as you will see. I am convinced of Cormints hereditary transmission. Another friend of mine in CA has a super States Premium mare from Cormint / Carvallo that is showing very well in Holstein.

I bred a daughter by Cathalido ( Cormints full brother ) and she has produced a stallion for this years 70 day test in Oklahoma. He’s a nice young stallion , so I think the whole family (4294) from Susanne Becker is very good.

One thing to keep in mind with Cormint is that the mare has enough bone, otherwise you could get some to refined foals. Or am I wrong?

This is right Harrie. Also , the mare needs to have enough trot , otherwise they tend to be a little short strided.

No problem but I’m not over that way. I’m 90 miles north of Greensboro.

No problem. We had a home in Winston-Salem for the past three years… and we have the farm outside of Southern Pines. With dog shows and what not, we’re up your way often.

Dakota VDL is stunning! Watch his videos, super scopey over fences and quite a gentleman in person!

How tall is Dakota?

Casall, star of Fences 2012!!!
http://studforlife.com/news_detail.php?id=2371

This year, auctions have been lead and price records have been broken by sons of Casall.
In Fences Cavisto Z (Casall x Levisto) sold for 200.000 euros.
Caldato (Casall x full sister of Cardento) sold for 100.000

Cascadello (Casall x Clearway)has the holsteiner auction record with 600.000 euros.

I just read an interview with Rolf in Horse International. He was asked: If Casall La Silla was a human being, what would be his favourite clothing designer?
“He would be the kind of man that would like to wear elegant clothing, but with a tough edge. So Tommy Hilfiger could be one of his favourites.”

Dakota VDL is and will be of similar size to Casall himself.Dakota is only 4 so some growing yet to be done. His first foal crop born this year in Europe have been inspected. Remarks are very positive!

I believe he is going to be one of our best breeding stallions in the US for many years to come. The interesting thing about him is that he typed to breed well for any discipline just like his father.

We are going to develop him for sport appropriately, and let the pedigree do what it’s been proven to do…Produce successful sport horses!

Dakota

Hyperion, will Dakota be in Wellington at all this winter? I would love to see him go! I think that he is just fabulous
