Offspring of Golden Venture Farm's Maxamillion? Updated w/video of "Mardi Gras"

It’s funny how small the world is. I saw the COTH post recently regarding the passing of this stallion. Today, a ‘cowboy’ team roper friend of mine contacted me about a paint horse he has who “really wants to be English” and asked me to evaluate him.

It turns out the horse is a 2004 offspring of Maxamillion. I’m curious — What have the offspring of Maxamillion gone on to do?

Thanks in advance!

This one just started serious work this fall:

She is an 2006 model.

I know Maximum Wind Frost (aka Chilly)had started to compete in eventing last year and doing pretty well.

Hey I know that horse and that rider!!! Rider has actually been to my farm!!!

This horse lives on Vancouver Island…and is actually quite a nice horse.

I haven’t done much with my '05 Max gelding. We’ve had a few set backs in training, totally not his fault. Once I do have the money for training again, he will be a nice hunter.

I hope it’s ok to post this (it’s on the internet…).

This farm has a STUNNING Max daughter out of a BWP mare:

This is great, thank you for all the photo links! I’m looking forward to meeting this Max colt now.

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment ASBJumper. I think Kaiya is put together very well, her temperament is wonderful thanks to Max, her dam is a bit neurotic, and the color is a nice bonus. I’m really looking forward to showing her in hand next year.

I finally made it out to see Mardi Gras, the reiner’s horse who “wants to be english.” He is a nice boy and I liked him a lot! Great mind. His owner wants to sell him since he is not really cut out for reining. Mardi has such a great foundation for dressage and jumping and quite a stop — I nearly came off over the front of him when I cued him wrong and he slammed on the brakes. Gotta love those reiners.

I took some very rough video so all you Max fans can see what he looks like:

Thanks for all the info on the sire. The owner really enjoyed seeing his horse’s “fancy English” roots, LOL.

One of my clients has a Maxamillion baby, just starting his eventing career. He looks lovely and they are very pleased with him.

Ijust checked in with teh website the other day and saw that Max had passed on. I was very saddened as he was both a beautiful horse to watch and had a winning personality to go with it.

I was lucky enough a few years ago to talk Tawna into selling me Maraposa. She is defintely like her sire. She is very easy going, was a dream to break, and this year we are going to get to a few greenie shows (I went back to school full-time a few years ago so showing got put on the back burner until I am finished).
Here are some pics of my blonde girl.

I have Mardi Gras. He is doing well at Chocolate Horse Farm in Petaluma as an eventer.
I am bummed because I kept a link to Golden Venture Farms website so I could see his pedigree but it has been taken down.

I pretty sure this is him http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/maxamillion

I would take a snapshot if you want to make sure it doesn’t disappear

That’s him!

Mardi Gras is on All Breed Pedigree, too. I believe it’s the same horse.

Blast from the past. I’m glad to hear Mardi Gras is doing well. I got to meet Maxamillion and several of his “kids” when I lived in the area and always loved them.

Golden Venture is now known as Kings Passage Sport Horses. Same owner different farm name.
