Offspring of the stallion Damsey?

I am interested in a horse by the stallion, Damsey. The sire is owned by Leatherdale Farms. Does anyone have offspring by this stallion? I am interested in finding out about temperament and rideability of these offspring for amateurs. PM me if need be. Thank You!

He looks lovely. www.leatherdalefarms.com/damsey-frh/

Did you post in the Breeding forum too?

I tried to breed to him. If it had worked I could tell you. His semen was excellent but my mare decided she did not want to get pregnant. So I sold the last dose to a friend ( with Mrs. Leatherdale’s OK) . Her mare got pregnant with the dose and she got a lovely filly. The filly is a yearling and not under saddle obviously but she is a keeper with the breeder who is thrilled with her.

i did, thank you.

Thanks for your replies. I’m trying him out next weekend.

Cannot really answer, but I saw some foals by him. They were lovely. The breeder that was using him had went and seen him in person. She loved his type, had heard how lovely he was to work with, and bred two of her best mares to him. She had access to some very nice stallions, and kept going back to him.

There are some in South Australia - at Danson Dressage. With video, which I thought you might find interesting. Plenty in others states. He’s a popular IFS stallion here.

I have one that we are currently starting under saddle. She is HOT HOT HOT. But he has a wonderful temperament and is a great sire. That said I adore her. She is intelligent and sassy. A bitchy mare for sure but something VERY special indeed. She is the spitting image of him and this is typical. I do find her a challenge but she learns so very quickly and wants often to be submissive. In the pasture she is def not the boss. Would I like her to have his character…of course. But nonetheless she is a favorite.

Temperament is of utmost importance to us and we believe these are exceptional bloodlines for brains and ability. We bred one of our premium Belissimo M daughters (a full sister to licensed GP stallion Benidetto) to Damsey’s sire, Dressage Royal, and our filly is confident, ultra fancy and smart-smart-smart. Bred back to Dressage Royal for 2018 - no question about it. That being said, we take foal raising very seriously, following Tristan Tucker’s TRT Method from day one. It’s really the whole package.
