Ogilvy pads, what is the difference...

What is the difference between the dressage baby pad and the dressage profile pad other than the straps and price?

I haven’t actually seen the profile pad IRL but I think it may be cut back at the withers?

Aren’t the baby pads also lighter? I’ve not seen the profile pad but I have a baby pad (actually came with girth straps!!) I did find it smaller in size than the regular jumping pad which is why I bought it as I have short legs but because it’s a lighter weight it sort of bunches up in the back behind where my leg sits, and this drives me bonkers!!!

The Ogilvy dressage pads that I own are generously sized, a bit longer than my other pads, which is a plus. I have only looked at Ogilvy jump pads but they seem substantial. If you look online the dimensions are the same between profile and baby pads.

Other brands of baby pad yes are very small and flimsy. I don’t really think Ogilvy is a true baby pad.

The Ogilvy baby pads come standard with girth straps. I believe the profile pad also has billet straps. However you can add straps when you send in your custom order.

I really like them!

The profile pad has a wither relief curve, billet straps and is bigger. I prefer the baby dressage pads because I fint he profile ones too big for my little saddle…none of these pads slip.

Ogilvy saddle pads are the best pads I have ever used, I have spent so much money on fancy pads and these are cheap, fun colours and easy to wash!

Thanks for the replies! I have two dressage profile pads and LOVE them so much I want more! Since the dressage baby pad is $10 less than the profile pad, I was wondering if they are the same thickness.

They definitely are.

Yes the only difference is the cutback and the extra strap. I think if you price it out having a billet strap option added to the baby pad equals the cost of the profile pad.
