Oh for CRYING out loud! Make that a Palomino FILLY :o)!

Wrong! You guys were ALL wrong. Well…with the exception of twelvegates…at least so far twelvegates stands the slim, outside chance of being right with a guess of 357 days.

Persis is 354 days today and is showing NO signs of producing the goods. Really? REALLY??? She was one of two that I managed to get bred before I broke my back last year, and I was thrilled that she was going to have a foal at a civilized time of year and before it got stupidly busy here. It’s a conspiracy, isn’t it? She’s going to hang on to it until I’m so totally sleep deprived, until she’s good and sure it’s a colt and until she’s gone at LEAST a full year. I’m sure of it! Grrrr…

Don’t you just love horses, Kathy? Makes for such an eventful life!

I’m NOW going to guess 359 days, palomino filly, three white legs, narrowish blaze.

Diane Halpin: Facebook (message me when I win!)

I WIN! Thanks for not messaging me! LOLOLOL!

WELL, OUTSIDE CHANCE I JUST TIED WITH 3DOGS (but I guessed 359 first)!

Wow! I think she just wants to be sure it is as inconvenient for you as possible. I’m still going with a filly though, maybe your mare is just making sure she is perfect;)

Hope your wait is over soon. Can’t wait to hear. Good luck.

Oh for CRYING out loud! Make that 355 days…no wait…make that 357

NO. I DON’T like horses anymore! Hrmph! Diane, I think you’re jinxing me! Somermist, we were HOPING to go watch Belafonte compete the first weekend in May, but I’m thinking she’s going to do everything in her power to make sure that is TOTALLY unrealistic and inconvenient. <grumbling>…I think it’s ALL your faults! You’re posting photos of cute babies and bragging about them and bragging about ALL your fillies and bragging about how convenient in the day and and and…well…You’re not offering me enough support here! Send Tequila! <lol>.

Send Tequila!

I’ll drink to that!

Hang in there, Kathy. That little bundle of joy will arrive when he is good and ready to make an appearance (sorry, I am guessing it will be a colt).

Well…it’s a given it’s a colt, isn’t it? <lol>.

I had a maiden finally go on day366 last week. She had a palomino colt with 2 hind socks and a blaze.
So, my guess is your mare will foal at 366, colt, hind socks and a blaze.

361 Palomino colt
one hind sock

Well, yes on the palomino, but I’m doing the filly dance. Filly, filly. Filly:lol::lol:

LOL! It’s a good thing this nice mare doesn’t have a laptop!

Palomino colt day 367, two hind socks is my guess. Sorry looks like it may be ANOTHER colt, lol.

We just went 363

Well, I was hoping you’d get a filly but I’m beginning to lean towards a colt now. You know, maybe those extra bits need longer cooking.

Kathy I sooo feel your pain, and this isn’t going to make you feel better, but we have a client mare at 376 today. I am positive on the days, as we inseminated her once last year and I have quadruple checked the records. Plus, I even had my poor husband palpate her not once, but twice, in the last month to make sure she was actually pregnant, and then to make sure that the foal was still alive. And the real kicker is that she just started having a slight increase in udder size in the last 3 days. It’s killing me b/c I planned on her having foaled and gone home quite a while ago, and I booked the foaling stalls accordingly, so now space is a little tight
I just LOVE mares!

The boy bits take longer to bake on?

Our mare just foaled at 379 days this morning. That was a long wait. (and it was a colt)

Yeah, finally!

funny, im pretty sure i posted something identical to this on my maiden’s 354th day… she foaled at 10pm that evening. it was a colt too.

hang in there, he’s a comin! and i think colt, 357 days…

357 DAYS

I’m sticking to my original prediction, after checking with Magic Eight Ball.

Me: “Magic Eight Ball, will this foal be born on day 357?”
M8B: “You may rely on it.”

Me: “Magic Eight Ball, will this be a filly or a colt?”
M8B: “Better not tell you now.”

Me: “Sometimes you disappoint me, Magic Eight Ball.”
M8B: “Ask again later.”

Hope it happens soon, with spectacular results.

PS Kathy – I live down the street from Rhett Butler d’Avalon. What a beautiful boy!
