Well…I “have” had worse <rolling eyes>. The farm I managed out in California, I had four mares decide to foal in one night. Yup…Four. And no…we didn’t have cameras or foal alerts or any other alert system. Did it the old fashioned way :P. The ironic part? I caught three, walked by the fourth mare’s stall at about 3 a.m. after foaling out the last mare, peeked in and she was doing NOTHING…went to bed. Got up the next morning and voila! Baby. Worst part? It was the very first ET foal I’d ever done <ROTFL>. Fortunately, everything was fine. <shaking head>.

I’m too tired to throw anything! But I’m wondering if there’s chocolate Tequila??? That does sound disgusting though, doesn’t it?! <LOL>.
For you mad scientist gurus that love the milk tests <smile>…just for grins and giggles, I went ahead and tested her “milk” this a.m. pH is 6.8, calcium is 400. I don’t usually bother with the tests - just look and taste, but I have employees that haven’t seen a lot of foalings, so it’s easy to put them on high alert by using the tests. Any predictions now?
Hard to say not knowing how quickly she came down to 6.8. But at least on thing is for sure - she’s closer today than she was yesterday! :lol:

if she’s @ 6.8, I would think it’s tonite or tomorrow… the last three here all went when they hit 6.4 - 6.8…
crossing my fingers for you, I’d like you not sleep deprived when you have to collect Edward for me next week!! LOL
and my mare SHOULD be welcome with me, she’s having one of yours LOL…
I think she might make it to my date of April 28th but it will be a close call…I will say 12:45 am on Sat. the 28th

One of the mares I just had that foaled when about 28 hours past milk test results that were just like that.
