Oh goody, now I tore up the "good" shoulder.

After having surgery on right one, I’ve torn the left one up. SLAP type injury.

This. Sucks.

I hate being on the shelf.

Anyone have experience with this type of surgery??

I had a Bankart repair about 12 years ago due to my right shoulder that subluxed for years until it finally dislocated and stayed dislocated. It did a lot of damage to the labrum. It was before I started trying to ride horses again at a relatively advanced age, but after I started volunteering at a therapy center within walking distance from my house. So once I was feeling good, but before the Dr. said I could drive, I was the horse leader for the BO’s clients, on the off side, of course.

I had to have open surgery because the damage was to extensive, so I had a longer recovery. The good part was that I have the assurance of the surgeon that it can’t dislocate again.

thanks, I’m a little scared of this one

I haven’t known anyone that ever had this injury or surgery, and this was always my “strong” side. And I’m still rehabbing the other one.
