Well, I supposed I’d just laugh at her and call her a whack-o. Just ignore her, clearly she thinks she can intimidate you. You’re a nice girl who loves your horses, who cares what SHE thinks!

      Oh, that’s good. Um, it was a joke right? Because no one would actually have the nerve to say those things. Bless your heart.
First off…Horses don’t get embarrassed by pink. It’s not like foals come home from the hospital in pink or blue blankies. You could paint him pink and put sparklies on him and he wouldn’t care. They don’t think that way.
Second…Renaming a horse you don’t own? WTF? Is her barn populated with Breyer horses as well? She’s living in a dream world. Your horse is nicer than whatever she’s got would be my guess.
Ignore her. She’s TRYING to scare you. You know you’re doing well with your horse, you don’t agree with her methods anyway. Her opinion matters to you less than my dog’s opinion matters to me. Keep the emails, in case something unthinkable should happen to your horse. Otherwise hold your head up high, and ignore the vitriol of vicious idiots.
This ‘questionable barn’ this “trainer” works at, is it her barn or is there a BO or BM? I would take that email directly to the BO/BM and have them call her in for a group meeting. Get your concerns and her issues out in the open.
And while talking over the email, inform them of your intention of notifying the authorities as well, just in case a gate is ever left open in the middle of the night or your tack goes missing.
I think because you are 17 and you have your own barn, NICE Job BTW ;), she may be a bit jealous of you and your horse. I wouldn’t leave any rock unturned! Put it out there and be straight about it! Don’t let her intimidate you anymore!
Holy crud. Your horse is lucky he didn’t end up with someone like her! Sounds like a real nutcase… and if you’ll have trouble “giving your horse away,” then why is SHE so desperate to lease him? I’d just try to put it out of your mind… I would certainly hope that she wouldn’t try anything - there are TONS of horses out here for sale/free lease, and hopefully she’ll just move on to one of them. Sounds like you’re a VERY responsible horse owner, and your horse is lucky to have you. Some people are just unbelievable.

Okay, I like this suggestion much better than mine!! But then I am not afraid to confront someone who wrongs me!
What Tidy Rabbit said
Ignore this moron.
No true professional would have sent such an idiotic response to your email.
Geesh! The World is just full of them, isn’t it?
Reminds me of the trainer who once told me I’d “ruin” Vernon by taking him into a Training Jumper class.
It was the only class I had available to school him before riding in Adult Medals, fences were the same height and I told her I would not be going against the clock, just getting him around for a schooling round with some broken lines/rollbacks.
We ended up AA Reserve that year so I guess he was “ruined” for Champion…
HAHAHAHA sounds as if she’s crazy as a bat. Pink. I’m 68 and was looking at a pink camo sheet the other day, thinking how cute my girl would look in it Didn’t buy it but I thought about it. I agree, ignore her.
Can we say stalker… I would just reply, well I appreciate your concern but be sure the horse has the best care and the psychic told me HE LOVES the pink and is a HUGE WHO fan and loves the name Tommy. Thanks for watching out!
Are you kidding me, he is your horse and while I know there are many out there that don’t have great lives, I have seen your pictures, you horse is cared for, you don’t overface him and take pride in your efforts with him. Ummm and if you are so crushed by the loss (I think you said that) of your lifer horse I have to believe you are a dedicated owner! The lady is a whack and has NO BUSINESS driving by, and renaming and then on top of that giving him a nick-name (Winny)…
Life is too short to get upset about things like this. You and the rest of us can clearly see that this lady has a screw loose. She can’t help herself, she is obviously nuts. I highly doubt she’s steal your horse or sabotage your stuff, she’s just hoping to get a free horse to ride. Just write her back and say “Thank you for your concern, I am happy with my current situation and will let you know if things change.” If she contacts you again, keep cutting and pasting that SAME SENTENCE. She can only engage you if you engage back. She’s in lala land and you can’t get upset over her.
If you think this person poses a genuine threat to you and your horses, then call the police. But as an outsider looking in, it doesn’t sound like that. It just sounds like a crazy person who too much time and no hobbies. She may also be trying to get your goat just because she’s an attention whore. Be polite and then ignore her.
Did she write that in crayon, per chance?
That totally sucks, but I definitely wouldn’t respond to it. In any way, shape, or form. You said what you needed to say, just blow off her idiotic reply.
P.S.- This person may not even be driving by your place like she says she is. You come on here and post all the time about shows and post pictures etc. She could easily be seeing that and claiming she’s dropping by the barn. If this person is actually a trainer and has horses of her own, I doubt she really has time to be spying on your horses 24-7. The odds are, she’s messing with you because she’s an attention grabber and has nothing better to do. Don’t give her the satisfaction of getting into it with her. You might also consider being a bit more selective about what you put “out there” about your location, age, horses, etc. because the internet is full of whackjobs like her!

Or how about telling them that there employee is driving around aimlessly looking at horses at other farms when she probably could be doing something constructive around her own farm!!!
so sorry.
you have a pm
The “trainer” sounds crazy. I think the big clue there is renaming a horse that she does not own-- that is more than a little weird. I would probably ignore the freak show myself, but if you absolutely cannot there are 4 words that pretty much sum it all up.
“Bless your heart, honey!”
BAAHAAHAA!!! She renamed your horse? What a freakin’ whack nut!
Ignore her. As the others have said, this crazy pyscho witch lives in her own little world, and I doubt seriously she’d try to come and take your horse.
In her fantasy land though, because she wants him, you should give him to her.
She’s crazy as a bedbug, but sounds harmless. She’d have tried to take him before now, if she wasn’t.
Her name isn’t Celeita, is it?
Fleur, what a horrible email to receive!
I’ve seen the pics you’ve posted of Tommy and he is a very handsome, flashy boy. No doubt this lady sees the potential and is making an attempt to guilt/belittle you into “handing him over” to her. Some people operate that way, sadly.
I know it is hard, if you are a sensitive person, to ignore stuff like that… I know I personally take too much to heart and would probably be crying in a corner if I got an email like that!! But just ignore her, don’t respond to her emails, and get on with things.
Unfortunately there are a lot of creepy people out there. But for every weird horse person there is a truly wonderful person to offset them! So hang in there.
thanks guys … i just sent her emails to the owner of my property. he is a bit ticked (i love him, he is like a second dad) and assures me he will keep a watch on me. My gate is getting locked just in case. Although everyone who would be able to help in an emergency knows where the key is, so im not worried about that.
i am not going to respond, but I have a strong feeling she will send another … just that type of person. She rents her barn from an elderly man who has nothing to do with it, going to him wouldn’t make a difference. And Its sad to say, but even with her “training” job, i think she would have the time to do drive bys. my barn can also be on the way from her apartment to her barn if she goes that way.
im just nervous b/c I know she is crazy, and crazy people do crazy things … especially with a band of immature, VERY influential barn girls behind her (not the good kind). like the kind that will take someone’s irons off their saddle at a show, or make a girth go missing, in order for others to not be able to show. yeah SCARRYYYY!
Why do I feel like all the crazy people just need to gravitate towards me? lol … I am a crazy person magnet!
LOL man what the FRUITBAT.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
I would just give her the old standard three word reply - BLESS YOUR HEART!
