I like the above idea…if only he were grey!!!
What a fruitbat! She must have stole CCTL’s crayon box!

Sloe Gin…ugh…flashback from the 70’s
I thought I read somewhere that the Victorians dressed male babies in pink. So neener neener. Fleur is being retro. :D[/QUOTE]
Hey… I’m not old enough to have been drinking in the 70s and I have had my fair share of holiday sloe gin fizzes
Also, there are alot worse things people do to their horses than wrap them with pink polos (male OR female)
OP… that person is a nutjob! omg!
“Winston’s” stalker strikes again! update pg4
all cleared up
Are you SURE this email wasn’t sent in a RED font??? I mean what is this lady smoking??? :eek:I would be more than slightly concerned now especially with her even closer to Tommy/Winston.
Wow. I remember reading your first thread on this girl. She obviously has some serious mental issues. I can’t imagine acting like that without some sort of chemical imbalance or something - it’s just too unreal! I think if it were me, I would politely tell her in no uncertain terms that you will NEVER sell Tommy and hope that she goes away. You may also want to suggest to her that he is microchipped, tatooed and has some sort of GPS tracking device surgically implanted up his butt or something in case she ever gets any ideas…
You should look on Dreamhorse for big black horses which are actually for sale, email her the links, and suggest the student look into buying one of those.

You know… microchipping wouldn’t be a bad idea for you… he is a dark bay plain wrapper type like my boy… I got my guy micro chipped when my crooked ex-trainer was threatening to steal him. They really aren’t that expensive to do.
yeah. i really do not think she would steal him. she is crazy, but if she even tried, I would know, and the property owner would probably shoot her. He is fully aware of the situation as are the local police (one is actually my non-blood “uncle” so they are aware although nothing can really be done unless she tries to steal him, or threatens). and hopefully both my boys will be moving as soon as the barn gets built on the new property.
as far as microchipping, my mare and pony are done, but tommy is not. i guess i will give the vet a call (especially considering she tends to be here weekly now:mad:). he has distinct enough markings that I would be able to pick him out of anywhere. just little things that I notice that no one else does.
I am still working on the email to send back. I am not trying to be polite now. I want to get the point across loud and clear.
Oh gosh. I read your thread (accidentally typed “threat” - maybe that would have been more appropriate!) previously with both alarm and amusement. This woman is nuts. Maybe it would be a good idea to microchip him. Heck, just in case down the road someone else falls in love with him and stalks him - sounds like Winston has what it takes!!!
Her family is willing to match any offer on him, or raise it by 20%. As you can tell, money is no object for them, so it would truly be a great home.
Tell her you have an offer of $500,000 for Tommy. If they wish to top that by the 20%, you expect immediate payment in full.
I think this and the original thread made it in under the wire to be my fave post of 2008. (;
Microchip him, preferably within the next 5 minutes. Wow, she is a whackjob… but a highly entertaining one, I must admit! I can’t believe anyone could be that deluded…
I have a question. Did the student do barrels only at a walk or something? because they did barrels for 7 years but can’t do canter leads?
Humans. Pffft!
this woman is seriously mentally disturbed and Tommy could disappear, especially if the nut has friends in other states where she could hide him.
Call the cops, make a report about what has happened.
Microchip as others have advised, and take pix of him all around to make sure you can identify every little marking on him.
Post no trespassing signs on everything.
Didn’t someone tell you on the other thread to lock your gate? if not do so now.
move horse where she cannot see him from the road, I know someone told you before in the other thread to do that.
And do some investigation just in case she takes him, find out where she works, where her family lives (people go home when they are in trouble) and make sure you are prepared if she snatches him.
Meanwhile, tell her the horse is lame, or something like that. So she will think he has some serious problem. Other posters will think of something better, say he has some disease that the woman will be repulsed by. She won’t want a horse, maybe, with medical problems, altho crazy people tend to fixate on one thing, so she may not give up unless you can get her to fixate on another person’s horse.
I think you live near the crazy crayola trainer. or someone just like her.
Woo! Microchip away, my friend. At least the tone of her e-mail sounds crazy but reasonably harmless.
I would also be veeeeerrrry careful at show grounds as well. Your home may be safe but the show grounds may not be.
And Where’s the fruitbat on her banning the kid from the showgrounds if she can’t ride Tommy??? What the HECK it that about??
In addition to the microchipping, I would consider filing a police report for harassment. That way, should anything happen in the future (heaven forbid), you will have documentation with the authorities that you have had issues with this nutcase. While it would be obvious if she took him and housed him at her current facility, remember, this lady is a nutjob and there isn’t anything saying she wouldn’t have him taken and disposed of in some way just because she couldn’t have him for herself. Also, if you file a police report, she knows you aren’t messing around and you are serious about her leaving you alone.
Yowza! What a fruitbat! I remember your first thread, and this one just continues the craziness! So sorry you and “Winston” have to deal with this chick. Be careful!
Here is what you should send back…
"Dear xxxx,
I’m flattered that you’ve taken such an EXTENSIVE interest in TOMMY’s show career and that you like him so much. It makes me feel good to know that MY horse is so DESIREABLE, especially since you once said I would be hard pressed to GIVE him away. Bless your little heart for your interest.
If you are still interested in buying him, feel free to make an offer. I currently have an offer standing at $700,000 in cash, but feel that if you want to double that, I would be willing to let him go to you. It would be such a steal, but, I wouldn’t want to mess with the promising career of your young rider."
:lol::winkgrin:
