This is my daughter on her horse Tiggerific “Tigger”…we assisted in rescuing him from near starvation two years ago and when a stall opened up, we took him in and finished his rehab. Little did we know he would be my little girls best friend…

Here’s the Mitchster, former driving pony turned cowpony wannabe.
He first started out in an Abetta endurance saddle, which is the first “westerny” looking saddle I’d gotten after my Thoroughbred gelding passed on. The old man (the TB) and I did jumpers when I was still a junior rider. And then I leased a mare and started trail riding in an Abetta saddle, lost the lease on the mare and ended up with the Mitchster. Took me a while to find the right saddle for him (years even) since he was quite overweight for a while, but a friend is letting me borrow her Billy Cook Wade now that he’s lost weight and is back down to pony proportions.

my younger mare is a daughter of Zippos Sheik, he sure throws the pretty on them.

This is my 3-year-old Appendix QH, George.
He has only been backed. Once. This week. I will work on him more and maybe get some riding pics. LOL.
He was my “Oops” baby. I bought his dam from a QH breeding farm (ironically, they were selling her as a riding horse since they couldn’t get her in foal) and then found out a month later she was pregnant. So his show name is “Unexpected.”
As much as I would like for him to be all dressage-y, this boy is definitely a western project. To the point where I think it would almost be cruel to ask him to carry himself in a dressage frame when he so clearly is built like a ranch horse.
Maybe we can compromise and do HUS or something.

Yes he does I can still remember the day the filly’s dam stepped off the trailer. I just stared at her because she was so conformationally gorgeous! At first glance she is just a sorrel breeding stock mare with a star, but we you really evaluate how she is put together she is perfect
