Here is my husband and his 29 y/o rescue (he’s had him for 20 years). He is his first horse and was just wonderful to learn on:

Happy Trails~

Sweet!! Such a nice pix & story …

Thanks! When he got Skip he was 300 lbs. underweight and was missing 3/4 of his hair due to mange. My hubby used to leave work every day, change out of his suit and bath him twice daily. He’s had Skip longer than me:)!

Actually, we met because he asked the manager of the stable where we boarded 19 years ago (but didn’t know each other) to put Skip next to my horses and then he went to the ranch every day trying to “accidentally” run into me to ask me to go out for a trail ride.

Oh fun

Here is my boy Jameson (Dun It Up Trashy)

This is an album of my two favorite guys and my DD. The sorrel is my horse Shane and Impressive bred retired halter horse turned jack of all trades - here pretending to be a barrel horse. The bay is MacTavish an OTTB now a hardcore barrel horse. Both are 11. Both were freebie rescues. I love these two! And I love my DD for being my best riding buddy!

Hello all!!
This is my boy, “Tank”
I am training him as a future eventing prospect, but before hand he was used as a trail horse. He’s awesome! (though I admit, I might be partial).

He’s a 16.3 9 year old TB/QH cross

This is us after a short trailride. Excuse our appearances, it had rained earlier and we got caught in it

My AQHA western pleasure gelding. It was hunting season !

Hmmm. Mine might be scattered all over the place.

Oh, here you go. Let’s start with a moldy oldy. My first horse. Coulda been her first show though not mine:

http://s222.photobucket.com/albums/dd89/BevHeff/?action=view&current=BevCrumpet.jpg

My current gelding, doing the Pony Express re-ride in 2008:

Same gelding, in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness area in 2009:

And in West Yellowstone, also in 2009:

That’s all I can find for the moment…

My boy, - now retired. :frowning:

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c180/1Indian/Natrun1.jpg

and ready to go:

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c180/1Indian/nat11.jpg

And my current ride:

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c180/1Indian/Indiside.jpg

She was two in that pic. She’s nine now.

My mare, a Spanish Mustang, was bred to be a dressage/sport horse and even won her breed class on the line at Dressage at Devon, but her main use for me has been trail and pleasure riding. Just no time to pursue showing. She has turned out to be a top notch trail horse and maybe one of these days if I can find the time I’ll worry about dressage. I think she looks quite nice in western/endurance tack! It sure is more comfortable for long rides.

Her name is Promise of Gold and she’s a perlino dun.

Coal aka Shades of Black Gold

The horse of my Lifetime!!

Click on the photo for a larger view. Coal was 15.2 and 1300. We were together far too short of a time…I had to let him go at 19 y.o.

AQHA Hall of Famers in his pedigree.

Beautiful horses, everyone! I’ve enjoyed looking at each one. I’m used to seeing “english” horses and this was very refreshing! (Not that I don’t like h/j…I do ride it!). Here’s my only QH I’ve had doing an ACTHA ride.

Yes he is. He still hasn’t gotten the hunter princess trained out of me though - he always says I’m his formal dancer  These days it would help if I could just find time to ride - darn graduate school is getting in the way.
