WHAT? No foal. Well today has to be the day. GO TO WALMART. I am sure you have something you need there. Oh I know, you need to exercise your vehicle.

Just had one born this morning. Mare was at 340 on May 1st. Been at 6.2 or below since Thursday, started dripping Sunday, streaming yesterday. Water finally broke at 7:30 this am. Over cooked filly. Keeping a close eye on both. I am always nervous when they hold on that long. By experience it usually means something is not quite right.

That’s exactly what I’m worried about as well. Although now, I realize she wasn’t holding on to a 6.2 for days. So it’s most likely fine.
I’ll just have to get over my fear of another red bag and we’ll be all set. (Is it too early for a drink? :lol:)

No! I didn’t. I didn’t go out to buy new strips, I figured it was pointless as she had started the big globs of wax and the dripping… Mainly the dripping usually means it won’t be for too long. At least, with my mares.

Come on Mare, your are STREAMING milk when you walk with too much enthusiasm… (Which thankfully, isn’t often, she just waddles around her stall.)

340 on May 1 makes today 363 which isn’t late or over-cooked by any stretch
OMG - I am glad my wait is over, although I could have done without all the excitement of such an early birth! Come on mare, momma wants some peace!

Going to walmart is.well.more involved than day care.

It is chestnut with two tall hind socks, one front sock and a blaze! Photos to come He was up on his feet in no time. A bit slower on the milk bar part, he did drink well from the bottle.
