Hunter’s Rest. Flint Hill, Virginia.
Hinderella, Whicker, JSwan, Wateryglen, Pleasant Meadow and … others … will be in attendance. I hope some of you other local hunters will join us - weather is supposed to be gorgeous. I’ll be offering a stirrup cup before we move off, and there will be a small tailgate breakfast afterwards in the stableyard.
Anyone interested in foxhunting – or meeting some of the CotH crew – please join us! There will be a Tally Ho caravan of cartoppers led by Wateryglen and her potential-future Mr. WG so there will be excellent insider commentary for you guys who may not know too much about the sport.

There are 3 fields for riders – 1st flight run-and-jump (as appopriate.) 2nd field run-and-doesn’t-jump (as needed.) 3rd flight (new this year, led by me!) Trot-and-hilltop. We’ve been doing pretty well so far this year (several views, and in on the coyote accounting last week from Ridder’s cabin) and … it is my home territory so we can get around pretty well, I hope!

I’ll be there too, I’m so excited. This is my very first ever hunt experience, and all of the COTH’ers have been wonderful. Of course, it sounds as though I may need a couple days off after the weekend to recover…

Sunday night - dinner at HRs
Thurs pm - maybe a wine tasting & dinner inWarrenton for early arrivers.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I will be there at HR’s. Let’s hope for cooler weather, I’ve been sweating my ass off wearing a jacket hunting at ODH. I’m used to boots, britches and a polo at RH.

I’m riding 3rd field with the dressage goddess, Ruby. We will be very entertaining. Get your WEG fix and hunt, too.:eek: Let me know whenever you want to come and we can join forces for The Good of the Universe.
FYI…while the eventing is going on at WEG…4 hours drive from my home and most of my friends are either going or volunteering there…I decided to fly out to HR’s and do that weekend instead! AND I CANNOT WAIT TO MEET YOU ALL!
I wish I could take my 2 horses, but my truck isn’t reliable enough to get us all the way there from Indy. Maybe next time! But, I’ll be leasing one of HR’s fabulous horses and having a grand ole time!.
And yes, you won’t hear from me til Tuesday, I get home monday night!..

I, too, will be at WEG, watching the XC (at least the afternoon goes, my redeye flight doesn’t manage to get me to L’ville until mid-morning). However I am plotting to meet up with FOLers after XC for a cold one somewhere on the grounds, we shall toast y’all!
