Yes, I finally “did it”. 
Yesterday I left the house around 6 a.m. to drive down to TN to participate in TVH’s hunt. I was in the walk-trot field, a good way to get started, I figured.
Hunt, which was supposed to be Saturday (cold/wind/snow/did I mention wind?) but was rescheduled for Sunday at noon.
A beautiful cold day, but spectacular country with snow covered mountains on the horizon-where, I might add, the snow can stay–. I was on a wonderful chestnut TB who took very good care of me. We trotttrottrotted, walked, stopped to listen, trottttrotttrotted (oh my aching bum :lol:) and headed in after a couple or three hours. I must say I did OK, no problems at all, until I went to dismount. Although I tried to take it slow, I ended up crumpled on the ground due to non-functioning legs. LOL. All in all, it was a fantastic day.
Oh, and the stirrup cup, and the flask…mighty handy to have.:winkgrin: So, I’m thinkin’ we drink ride drink (modestly sipping, of course) ride, ride ride, dismount, and eat. Now THAT is an equestrian activity I could delve into very easily.

Naturally, as I headed out the door before dawn yesterday, I forgot the camera, but I know pictures were taken, so will try to get ahold of some.

Oh, and my stamina was good bc I had been working out, but the legs, well, they are getting a little less sore…
