Recently started lifting rear feet (not at same time, obviously) and swishes tail when he does. No flies yet…arthritis pain?

Cushing’s can cause discomfort in the hind tendons. It was the first symptom I saw in my old gelding, although I didn’t recognize it as Cushing’s at the time. Has your horse been tested?

It was unrelated to use. I am sure use can cause it, but IR/Cushings/conformation do as well. It was confirmed with ultrasound.
