OLD TIME bloodlines alert. Broodmare at CANTER

For those of you who crave the sound old TB lines, this mare ( https://canterusa.org/horses/listings/soar-to-the-stars/ ) is packed with those good names. Oh, and not a zip of commercial appeal. Zero black type. Soar to the Stars is a 2006 mare, listed as a proven broodmare (i can find no foals) and retired from racing (I can find no starts), but a pedigree that piques my interest.

Her sire is the stakes winning Copy Cat, a son of Avies Copy who logged 116 stars in 9 years. That’s sturdy. He’s inbred 3X4 to [BI] chef de race Never Bend.

Her dam, a hard knocking starter of 65 starts, is an own daughter of Salutely, and inbred 3x3 to [CP] Tom Rolfe 4x5 [BC] Nearco, 5x5 [CP] Tourbillon, and 5x5 [P] Precipitation. Any dosage freaks out there will be interested in her DP = 5-4-9-0-6 (24) DI = 1.29 CD = 0.08.

Not to mention she is by a stallion that is by Avie’s Copy… you don’t get much more proven for eventing then there, Avie’s Copy was very well regarded among event breeders for sound, sturdy horses… This is a nice pedigree for all the reasons mentioned, but the linebreeding to Tom Rolfe and Never Bend on top of Avie’s Copy & Salutely (who is a wonderful timber producer), this mare would be very nice for an eventing breeding program…

And to top it off, she has very nice conformation for eventing, and is a good mover.
