Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction - some results

Looks like the top seller from yesterday’s Elite foal auction in Vechta was a colt by Apache / Don Romantic / Grundstein II. He sold to Denmark for 85,000E.

Next top seller was a colt by Romanov / Sandro Hit / Continue - sold to Sweden for 35,000E.

The Totilas foals sold for 9,000E, 11,500E, 10,500E, and 22,000E. They were all colts - 3 out of Sandro Hit mares, and 1 out of a Sir Donnerhall mare.

The slow economy is still taking its toll - there were incredibly low prices on a bunch of the foals. One went for 3500E, with a bunch at 4000E, 5000E, etc.

Apparently the palomino Bretton Woods / Quaterback colt was pulled from the auction - he isn’t showing up on the results page.

That was the same story at the Hanoverian foal auction last weekend. Appears to be a great time to get a deal on a fabulous foal.

Yes, I believe he is UB40 / Krack C. Gorgeous horse, and apparently hot as a pistol!

Haha yes I have heard the same. He really is gorgeous though. Two judges compared my boy to him in terms of movement, hopefully my boy ends up a tad calmer

They may have disabled the link to the videos since the auction is over. The Catalog is still up, but it is in that danged Flippingbook format - don’t know who talked them into using that format for the catalogs, but it is a PIA to use. It looks like the palomino Bretton Woods foal was pulled due to transport issues. (re his breeder’s website) But has been re-allotted to the October sale (Lot 7).

Sad to hear about the breeder’s barn burning down too. Thank goodness no horses or people were hurt. This happened just days before the August sale, so maybe that contributed to the “transport” issues. Best of luck to Brandnew. And to Altmarkhof.

Interesting - jumper bred foals, for the most part, were lower than dressage bred foals. Not surprising that Mylord Carthago goal topped the jumpers, it looked fantastic. Really hope that stallion will become available to the US in the near future.
