Olympic Live Stream Discussion Thread - It's On!

Helmets were solidly ahead in the first group - top hats making a comeback in the second!

Interesting - the scores for the movements are showing up on the FEI site ahead of the livestream so I can see the score the movement is going to get.

Loved the Chilean horse - seemed to be so obedient and trying so hard!

Competitive dressage scores. But top of the leaderboard after cross-country will come down to how tight they set the time.

I’ve seen the order of go - is there a ride time schedule posted anywhere? So I can get some work/housework done in the breaks and NOT MISS ANYTHING …

Really like seeing the ‘other’ riders, for whom it is a triumph to be there. It is great to see them have a nice ride.

Sweet ride!

Japan was nice as well. I am sorry they didn’t get a team here, I really enjoyed watching them go in London.

CBC site has the ride times posted, although they appear to be in Rio time as it’s an hour ahead of us (?):

The results are also posted at that link.

Thank you so much!

It’s those inadvertent announcer remarks. Paraphrasing 'Kathryn Robinson is the next of the Canadians to do battle, Jessica Phoenix having done so this morning … ’ Yeah, that battle started way before that …

that was beautiful

48.5 for Kathryn Robinson and Let It Bee!

Really liked Entebbe. Not a perfect test but very pleasant to watch. Really lovely horse.

scores not updating anymore for me?
is there a different link for after the lunch break?

It’s not updating for me either. I went to the rio2016.com page and checked there.

It’s interesting that the French are doing quite well in dressage so far.

It’s also interesting that every member of the Ground Jury is from an English speaking country. I doubt if that would make any difference, but it’s still interesting.

solar flare - thank you

And Chris Burton breaks into the 30’s with a 37.60. From the scores, if his walk work improved, he’d be close to unbeatable.

Ouch…big spook from the Russian horse. Whole ride looks sort of off, horse does not look comfortable.

WFP
Wow

Way to go William Fox Pitt! I do love watching him ride!

New leader!
