Needs a cable provider sign-in.

Jessica Phoenix and A Little Romance had a very nice ride. Not the tippy-top quality, but very good and correct. Jessica was all smiles, really beaming. I could not help but think of what she went through to get there!

Here’s the CBC link for Canadians for dressage today: http://olympics.cbc.ca/video/live/equestrian-aug-eventing-dressage.html

I thought it was a lovely test too. Blue seemed quite relaxed, and Jess looked so pleased.
Turns out it was a personal best score for Blue, and a best score for Jess at the Olympics.

Very proud (and not a little verklempt).

The French rider put down a wonderful ride for a 42. He may have given everyone something to overcome.

Anyone know if there is a leaderboard?

Gemma Tattersall’s mare is gorgeous. Maybe put just a little too much personality into a couple of movements, but what a beautiful horse to watch.

Results are here:

I think Jessie has scored higher than that in dressage to be competitive.

I wish they were showing the live scoring for each movement. That is always so interesting.

Start list and scoreboard; https://www.rio2016.com/en/equestrian-eventing-individual-dressage-day-1

Boyd Martin 3rd horse after this break.

I wish they would list the scores somewhere in a simple, mobile friendly format similar to the evententries or course walk app format.

I can’t watch the live stream because I am not a cable customer, and none of the results sites (nbc or rio2016) seem to want to work well on my phone. :frowning:

OK. I have clicked on almost everything that I can find, but cannot get the live feed. Is this a pay for thing, or am I just having another technologically challenged moment?

Look for the sign in. You have to sign in through your cable provider. You may have to look that up in your cable account info.

OverandOnward, Thank you! I will that a shot.

I had to change my browser before I could get “logged in”

You know, everyone goes on about Jung who is a very likable personality, but Auffarth is a weapon as powerful, I think.

Boyd Martin and Blackfoot Mystery test: One of the best American riders, one of the best in the world, definitely one wanted for the team. But: Germany’s best are sitting on Sam and Opgun Luovo; New Zealand on Ringwood Sky Boy; GB on Chilli Morning; etc. Boyd is sitting on Green-To-The-Level. I don’t get it. But we can defer the 36 page discussion on why that is … :o

TBH, Boyd’s score was better than I expected after that test.

Very much looking forward to Michael Jung’s and Lauren’s ride!

Also the stadium is quite lovely!

What is everyone’s opinion on the scoring? have seemed pretty generous in some instances

If you are not suitably financed, this is what tends to happen. You need to have a really strong string of horses and support team. If you don’the have those things you are constantly playing catchup.

Many, many scores bunching up in the mid-40s - thanks Banner to the link to the FEI site.
