Olympic Show Jumping Spin-off: who would you like to ride and why?

We have the dressage thread, now show jumping. Who would your dream ride be?

I think Vigo D’arsouilles is definitely high up on my list.

Flexible of course, love him.

Antares F, he’s my favorite horse by far!

Cylana- She looks like a blast to ride! I wouldn’t mind riding Flexible and/or Antares F too!

Definitely NOT this horse! Judging by the riders (lack of) reaction, this is not abnormal behavior!

Oh Plot Blue please - he’s dreamy - we could do the working hunters and then the GP on the weekend.

 Love that picture!

Eric Lamaze…

Opps, um…I mean, Cylana.

Too many to name! But I found it very interesting how tactfully the BBC commentators mentioned or alluded to how many riders/countries bought their way into the Olympics by purchasing high dollar horses.

The fact that his rider is leading him with a lunge line, while the other horses were jogged with reins or a leather shank, might be a giveaway that his horse is not ammy friendly.

Miner’s Frolic for me. What a trooper! I like a horse with a work ethic and he’s got it in spades.

I would want to ride Bjorn Nagel’s (UKR) horse Niack l’Abbaaye, who jumped around the Olympics in a snaffle.

I love Plot Blue too, but I also loved the Bermudian rider’s horse, Bernadien Van Westuur, she just loped around with her nose poked out so cute, I would love to get her in the hunter ring!

I’d love to give Flexible a try, although he’d probably look awful with my up there. Plot Blue and Wonderboy seem like they’d make me look good!!

Who was the second to last horse to go today? I missed the beginning of the round and then my parents called me away before I could see the name or country. Dark bay mare, I want to say a holsteiner or hanoverian, seemed to be a tough ride but still sane, and you could tell that she LOVED jumping. It was amazing seeing a horse that obviously just loved her job so much.

oo, he looks like fun, haha. I just saw Matrix today, and I don’t know, there’s something about this one I like (other than the accident that happened the day before).

Fantastic horse! Jumps houses. The rider has another quite like him at home, but younger, also by Cardento. Maybe next olympics you should watch out for Thriller P

In a perfect world Antares, Plot Blue, Casall, Allerdings, Cylana, Matrix, Big Star, Triple X, Star Power, Noblesse de Tess and Davos would be mine but I doubt I would be able to ride any of them decently. Top horses are seldom an easy ride…

Oops forgot Bella Donna, that mare stays with me!

There was at least one Eventer that I loved - certainly Master Crusoe (OK, he was started by my friend, Ann  ), If I were a lot smaller, Portersize JustaJiff - a little bionic pony… A mature Flexible, maybe  NOT when he was younger (I take my hat off to Rich, the Cruising babies are the most talented in the WORLD, but they aren’t easy!)

In my old age, however, I simply forget names…

Really liked Gerco Schroeder’s horse (forget his name) and Ian Millar’s Star Power. SP looked like he would be happy to go putz around the hunters when he retires from the big stuff!!

As for dressage, I’d have to think: I can’t figure out how those riders sit such big movers!! Oy!
