Olympic Team Show Jumping Concludes Wednesday, August 17

Anyone watching via the NBC Sports channel on their Roku? I have no announcer audio (have ambient crowd sounds), but my closed captioning is working…
That has happened to me on Roku - audio comes back if I leave the feed and then return.

That rider from Spain looked pissed off. I don’t blame her. Distractions are expected but that was excessive.
Someone was screaming extremely loudly in the crowd. Not cheering. It wasn’t English so I don’t know what they were saying. It sounded like the same thing over and over. It was loud on the feed so I would imagine it was loud in the arena.

GO YANN!!! Gorgeous clear round for Canada with First Choice!

Good to hear nick skelton appealing that 4 faults at water no way was he in!

Really awful for her to try and deal with that, especially after the security incidents that have already gone on.

I was really surprised they called that “in”!

It’s interesting because the commentators just mentioned they keep the plasticine strip after every round that goes in (which I never knew). I imagine there will be video review as well. It really didn’t look like he went in.

I saw the video replay and he just caught the edge.

I watched the replay and the hoof was past the plasticine but the fetlock came down and touched the strip. I think the announcers said that it’s bad luck but that it does count?

And yes, interesting that they both keep the strip and the jump judge signs off on it (to ensure the correct horse/rider is identified) in case of appeal.

Lucy clear!!!

Have to say you can really see George’s influence on the Brazilians. They were always brilliant, forward riders, but now they have the sort of precision that is the GM hallmark.

Last Brazilian to go looked like he was riding Big Eq.

Yay Lucy!!!

Wooo! Two clears for the USA!

YEAH, LUCY!

Well done Lucy!

America nailing this with lovely rounds… well done guys!

Love seeing Triple X in action, even though it’s for Canada, he’s a serious horse!
