Olympica are over - but

The 1012 Olympic Games are over - but - in 2015 Toronto is hosting the Pan-American Games.

If they take a leaf out of the 1010 Winter Games in Vancouver it should be a paaaarty - so come on up and visit, you hear?

The Pan-Ams are the year before the Olympics and gives North American countries a chance to participate in a Games to get a feel for them.

In previous Pan-Ams they are smaller, less crowds, tickets more attainable and a little less money and the athletes, while the big guns from Asia and Europe are not there, the Continental American athletes are there and the standard is high.

If the Olympic Games seem to be a bit too much, the Pan-Ams might be just about right.

And there is WEG in Normandy in 2014 to look forward to (August 24 - September 7). How can you beat a few days in Paris, and then some great riding?

I’m hoping WEG will pick Montreal for 2018!

I am thinking of WEG Normandy as my mom lives 2 hours away, but she is 89 and there is no way of knowing how things will be by then!! Still, I think my daughter would love to go too.
Pan-Am Games in Toronto 2015 is a given since the Equestrian facilities are about one hour north from me…
