Anyone ever use Omega Alpha Chill, Chill Ultra or Gastra FX?
I tried Chill with my mare, and she was totally CRAZY…chatted to the vet about it, and her opinion, seeing as how she reacts to sedation, she just does not like any feeling of being ‘drugged’ so she fought against it.
Never tried it again, once was enough.

Used chill on my young horse when he was a yearling - 2 year old to go to horse shows to take the edge off. I loved it an thought overall it made a huge difference. It would totally be worth buying the smaller bottles and see how your horse reacts to it. I’ve always had a great experience with it.

I have used Chill and Gastra FX. My horse is a pretty solid campaigner type, so he didn’t need Chill at shows, but he doesn’t trailer well alone and doesn’t like body clipping so I would give him some for either of those situations and I found that it made a difference for him. I don’t think that it would make a crazy horse the perfect hunter, but it would take the edge off.
I used to use Gastra FX on aforementioned horse. I was trying to find an alternative to omeprazole or Gastra Guard, because my horse had a mind case of ulcers, but I didn’t notice a difference, but I do know some people that swear by it so who knows…
I’ve tried a couple of their products over the year and while my horses have all loved the taste, I’ve never really noticed any sort of improvement.
A quick lunge or ear stuffies made way more of a difference then Chill ever did.
I’ve got one that needs to snort a few times at the beginning of every ride, I tried one of their breathing products (don’t remember which one now) and didn’t notice any difference.
I got a free jug of Gastrafx and a container of Biotic 8 at a show a couple years ago. I fed them but can’t really say if they made any sort of difference one way of the other.
