Really bizarre bump. This thread is from 2009.
Gee I hate it when I get into a thread and then realize it is years (YEARS) old.
Seems like we have a brand new member here who is not afraid to voice her opinions.
For posterity.
I imagine that back in the old cowboy days I’d just be free to shoot a feral stallion that was in with my valuable blood stock mares. Or the neighbors.
Back in the day, people who burst into a town full of strangers with guns blasting frequently ended up dead.
Figuratively speaking.
A new and poorly developed alter?
Is there a full moon in G-ranch-ville tonight? Or did someone spend too much time looking at the recent solar eclipse without proper eye protection?
I think we have a houseguest looking for a trainwreck to cause. :dead:
Sometimes the most angsty drama queens of all are found in the mirror.
I don’t think there are any mirrors at Gultch Ranch. Who needs mirrors when you have the ‘good Lord’ to guide you as you smote vermin with kindness and helping in the cowboy way.
You’re right, danacat – I was wondering about that “gultch” myself as I am only familiar with a “gulch,” but then, I am not a cowboy, nor has anything gotten me all lathered up to pieces in many a long year.
Hahahahahahahahaha!!! OMG…I’m peeing myself over here.
So is God a cowboy then?
Please, please, please OP…don’t abort the now-7-yr old Gypsy Vanner foal you got for free…it was God’s will.
Seriously, what the he** kind of response was that? On an 8 yr old thread???
To some , this post might seem a bit snarky. Have to admit the horse geek in me loves so much to know this terminology. Never knew this. Clap.
Is that you Bulldoggindude? whatever, apparently you ranch in a pretty uncivilized area. Maybe your horse stock is not worth worrying about, but some people frown on some 2 bit stud breeding their mare. to each his own.
PLEASE DON’T FEED THE TROLL.
THANK YOU.
THE MANAGEMENT
I’ve never been more startled in my life that to see this last from the past show up. Holy zombie post lol!
Mare is fine, still living happily with owner though in a different part of the state these days. Drafts did break down the fence a few more times, but the owners had put studly in a pipe corral, so no more visits from him. My student and her Mom moved about a year after this thread so that solved the problems.
well, read the fine print: Some states are fence out places.
Not sure why you would want your herd loose on 160 acres without oversight anyhow.
Whoa, Nellie!
Is bad enough everybody calls me Alagirl!
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Not having much use for people who don’t keep track of their life stock.
Seriously. If I caught a stud on my baby girl I swear I’d geld him myself with gardening sheers  Then do the same to the damn owner!!!
obviously not really, pretty sure I’d die in the process, but I’d want to!
We haven’t had a good old trainwreck on here for quite some time …!
Being a cowboy for 50 years does not make him necessarily a horseman, or a gentleman.
