I received some packs of a spot on flea control from an aquaintance. It is a brand I have never seen before. It is called Vectra 3D. Anyone have any info? Pros/cons for using? Thanks!
Hi Simbalism, I used it on my Aussie mix (70lbs). They have a web site that explains the special application procedure, and side-effects. It worked well, seemed to last more than 1 month, but when I shaved her for the summer, and then applied it, it gave her some irritation. IMO if your dog has a very short coat or skin issues pass on it, if dog has been groomed recently wait 2-3 weeks.
I used it this past summer on my two…I got it from my Vet. It seems like each year he’s pushing a new flea/tick control product. I didnt see any side effects and I didnt see any fleas or ticks. Nor did I when I used the less expensive AdvantageII.
Thanks for the info. I was able to contact my vet’s office now that Christmas was over and they said there shouldn’t be any problem with it as long as you are using the correct amount for the size of dog you have. I have a mini aussie with a pretty long and fairly thick coat. It was part of my Christmas package and I got a year’s supply. Glad to hear I will be able to use it.
