On to the Belmont 2018 - who's bandwagon are you on? post KD and Preakness

Conditions look absolutely miserable right now.

I kind of fell in love with Switzerland just now…I love a plain brown winner!!

And the fog rolls in to add to the gloom…kind of weather where the pads and bandages hung over the rail get wetter and smellier instead of drying and a bridle wiped down at noon is still damp at dinner time.

Can’t even see the full front stretch with the fog!

Praying for a safe trip for all Jockeys and horses running on that track today!

Nice wire to wire victory by the BB/MS team. AxMan & MS ran away with that race.
Now that they’ve gotten a first hand look/feel for the track, here’s hoping they come home in front for the Preakness.

Ok that animation just now looked like that Japanese video game Saddle Sores

Why did they just now sponge off Justify? What was it? Maybe he’s not a sweater?

Does it help any mud slide off easier?

Welp, we still got Oh Christmas Tree for the moment.

If it’s half as humid there as it is here, I imagine it was to keep him cool before the post parade…[says she who ran a 5k in 90+% humidity at 8 am today…]

Even if the race gets moved, that tradition better stand!

I seem to recall a kerfuffle a few months ago about changing the state song from MMM; dunno what became of it.

I wondered the same thing, LOL. I use to ride a non-sweater and I would have him beautifully groomed and tacked up, then I would have to hose him off before my lesson.

Well, I hope I’m watching the race. There is so much fog I hope I can even see the start. I guess that means the finish will be especially exciting.

Quip looked like he stumbled out the gate; well, that was fun to watch, particularly the last couple furlongs.

That was a tight race. The fog though, at times I could barely see the horses.
