On to the Belmont 2018 - who's bandwagon are you on? post KD and Preakness

Anyone else see justify on parade with Bob this morning . Appears to be dead lame on a fore leg. But that might just be me

Where did you see this? just curious…

Agreed- no weight on the left hind toe… hope this is not a bad injury. No mention of it anywhere.

Justify possible lameness: snaffle 1987 says fore leg; gotanda2 says left hind. May I ask for the link?

I wonder why Bob B. would lead him out and turn him all around if he was lame? It was a long video.

If it’s the one I saw, it’s on FB.

PS: Baffert, “No reason to say no” (to the Preakness).

That is a sad and scary video. I can’t believe Baffert led the horse out like that, much less kept turning him in small circles. I hope Justify is just really body sore after his big effort yesterday.

If anything, based on the video above I’d say left hind (and I only watched the video until they led Justify away). Every time Bob stopped him Justify would rest his LH. Seemed ouchy on the black matts but ok on the gravel surface. But, I’m not there and not privy to any inside information

I am sure they will be going over Justify with a fine tooth comb today to make sure he is okay and no issues. Will be interesting if anything comes out today or tomorrow. I hope if there is anything it isn’t enough to keep Justify out of the Preakness.

As I sit here, my 12+ hr playlist just played Dan Fogelberg’s Run for the Roses… always been one of my favorites and brings tears to my eyes… '“it’s the chance of a lifetime in a lifetime of chance”…

Left hind looks really sore. I did not see anything in front, but I am certainly no expert.

Link is down…

Just played for me, definitely lame LH, tighter the turn the worse it was. Ouch. Damn

OMG he was walking on his toe. I usually think abscess when I see something like that, but jeez louise!!! And Baffert saying how great he came out of the race!!!

Left hind! Needs hoof testers!

I cannot believe that Baffert was that intent on chest thumping not to have been aware as to what was going on behind him.

I’m guessing that he must have jogged out sound on a straight line in the early am. Small circles will often tell the tale.

Put me on the left hind list too.

Me too–he was trying hid darnedest to keep the weight off that heel, though it was a bit better in the soft gravel. Was he clipped during the race perhaps? I don’t recall seeing it, but it could have happened. I do agree that if I saw him I would think access first, but in his case, injury is equally likely. Hoping it’s minor and he can make a full recovery.

Left hind, but he also didn’t want to put the right hind down on the mat on the last trip around. I hope he’ll be okay.

I can’t believe Baffert let him be filmed while THAT obviously lame. Whether it’s something minor or not, he had to know how awful it was going to look on camera.

I came here to see if anyone else saw this (now disappeared) video. That was extreme and scary. He was walking on his toe on his left hind, but didn’t look right on the RH either. I’m no expert, but I can’t ever remember seeing a horse look quite that bad the morning after a big race. Hope he is ok :frowning:

He definitely sore across the whole hindquarter. Left hind look like style… but I have seen a hamstring present that way. Baffert will pay for that bit of sillyness. Not a horseman around the world will not question that press conference.
