One K Defender Suede Helmet - Glitter

Hi all!

I am looking into getting a new helmet with ventilation! (Tired of a sweaty head with my Charles Owen :mad:)

I love samshields, but the price tag is just a bit too much for me right now. They have a crystal option that covers the whole back of the helmet like this: http://obrienssaddlery.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Samshieldblog_large.jpg

I love that design and I think it is still very classy and well made. The question I have is whether or not the One K’s similar design (glitter helmet), has the same effect? I don’t want it to look cheap like glued on glitter, but rather more like crystals.

I would be very interested to hear you all’s thoughts and experiences, thanks!

The One K’s with suede and bling look very nice. Not cheap at all. HOWEVER, you still run the risk of still looking cheap because people tend to think the only reason people buy One K helmets is because they cannot afford Samshields. Which is generally pretty true. It certainly applies to me. I have the base line One K Defender and I absolutely love it. I don’t even really notice it when it is on my head. I love the ventilation and it fits my head like a glove. I highly recommend them.

The One K fits differently than the Samshield though. My daughter really wanted the Samshield but it just didn’t fit her head the way the One K did. She also finds the One K extremely comfortable.

Yeah, I wish I could afford a smashed, but that’s just going to have to remain a dream for now

I have the One K with bling, the two rows of crystals, in black on black. It’s incredibly light, and fits my head as if it was custom-made. It’s well-ventilated, and cost exactly what the Samshield costs here. I was lucky and got a 15% trainers’ discount, which brought it into something like an affordable range. Two of my clients put the cash together for my Christmas present, and it looks gorgeous. I have a small and narrow face, and the Samshield looks like a mushroom on me, but the One K is really pretty and feminine.

I have the plain suede one and love it. My friend has the crystal one…it’s nice, but where the vents are, there’s no crystals…It just looks like you lost crystals and many people have pointed it out, but it’s really just where the vents are. Just fyi

I have the one k with the pull down sun shades. It’s really wonderful and I love the fit

I got my suede One K because all the other helmets I tried on made my head look funny, including Samshield.

I have seen the one with two rows of crystals, but that’s not the one I’m interested it. Does anyone have the glitter one? Like the picture I posted?

Yes, my friend does. She likes it. But you can see what I mentioned earlier in your picture. It looks like shiny plastic bead type things where it’s glittery…kind of hard to describe. I don’t think it looks cheap, except the vent issue.

i have the onek glitter and i LOVE it,doesnt look cheap, shimmery little beads that are really well glued on.
