One K helmet sizing

I have a two year old One K helmet that is too big. So I went helmet shopping today and found a One K in a smaller size that fit well, but the only one the store had in stock in my size was a color I don’t want. Looking for online options I went to the One K website where I learned that the XS, S, and M helmets are all built on a Medium shell; it’s the size of the liner that changes the size of the helmet. Who knew? Certainly not the person at the tack store!

I’ll be going back tomorrow to buy two new liners, which will cost a whole lot less than a new helmet. You learn something new every day, right?

They aren’t the only brand that does that… always a good thing to check

Yes. I contacted OneK customer service about sizing a couple years ago because I was confused about what size to reorder. I had an XS liner but couldn’t figure out which size the helmet was. When I initially purchased it, the person at the tack store had measured me, put it all together, checked the fit, and sent me on my way.

When it was time for a new one, I asked OneK customer service. They said that the liner size is the helmet size. I thought there must be a misunderstanding, but decided to just try them on in person at another tack store. The sales rep there said that you can’t put an XS liner in the Med helmet. I showed her my existing helmet. She looked something up on their website and said “You’re right. That’s new information for me!”
