Open barn doors and naughty ponies!

Any recommendations for the ends of a barn aisle when the doors are open? I have a board that I put across the opening but I have very tall barn doors. If I position the board up high enough that nobody thinks they should jump it, the ponies think it’s absolutely fine to scoot under it. Clearly nobody is loose in the aisle on purpose, but I like to have a little extra protection in the case of a naughty escapee when the barn doors are open.

We just use a regular metal gate hung inside the doors and swings in. With a pole that secures it into the ground when closed. Its a 10 foot gate i think. We open the door on the side where its hung all the way and the door on the other side as far as it can go to meet the end of the gate. Works great and very easy to get in and out of the barn.

ETA I can get a pic if this doesn’t make sense!

I use pretty much the same guard from Big Dee’s but without the fabic, looks like a web guard. I have 2 rails across the front doors and this under it to stop my minis. It sags slightly in the center so I put a hook on the underside of the lower rail and hook the center over it. Works great, lasts forever.
