Opening meet pics

I am very fortunate in having a friend who is an extremely good photographer, and she came to our opening meet on Saturday

It had been raining no-stop for the previous 4 days, but Saturday was bright, sunny and perfect - hounds went like rockets and a good day was had by all

What lovely photographs! Your friend certainly has an eye for capturing the moment through a camera lens.

And what a clever idea for the annual hunt mileage tally! I carry my GPS with me while hunting so I have the accurate miles ridden for each hunt. I think I will follow your lead and tally the annual total with each data upload.

Oh, I think I’ve guessed it: Law Enforcement Officer? She was there because the hunt rides up a narrow country (but well-traveled) road after the Blessing. In fact, the hunt club sits along this road, so it’s useful to have an officer there to help riders and traffic negotiate around each other.
