Opinions on OMEGA HORSESHINE COMPLETE- Vit/Min Supplement w/ ground Flax

Can someone familiar w/ all purpose vitamin/mineral supplements give me your opinion on this new product?

Maybe JB ??

I’ve used the regular Omega Horseshine which is excellent so I ordered 2 mo. worth of this to try it but wanted to make sure it covers all needs of pasture pets. They get good timothy hay, TC Sr. but not full servings, and pasture.

Thanks for any input.

How much TC Sr?

IMHO, both those OHS products are overpriced for what they are. They aren’t inherently bad. but for that type of money you can get much better v/m supplements. Or, a ration balancer at a half serving would be inexpensive as well.

boy that was quick!!!
3lbs. ea. of TC Sr. , somehow I figured you might say that. Do you have a suggestion for a more economical vit/min mix?

I sorta got hooked into getting it cause I wanted a source of ground flax and spotted this.

I really like Uckele’s EquiVM for a basic vit/mineral. It’s inexpensive, low volume, and palatable.

They also have Equibase and Sport Horse if you’re looking for something more comprehensive.

Those Omega Horseshine products are just so expensive for what you get!

At 3lb of the Sr, I’d just add 1lb of the TC30 balancer. You can add whole flax for really cheap.

I purchased the TSC Dumor brand generic, it’s the exact same thing for 1/2 the price. I don’t think it has the vitamins in it though.

MVP’s Mega Cell gets my vote. Been using it for years–have tried others and always came back to it.

You’d probably save a lot of money if you switched to TC Lite and ground flax. TC has a stabilized flax product that is fairly inexpensive.

I have a 29 year old that needs low NSC and more biotin which this product supplies. He is doing very well using this as our “ration balancer” over the top of TC Senior and super sport for his topline.
