Need a new charger, don’t have a couple hundred dollars to spend on one. Rural King has some that are pretty affordable.
I can not stretch my budget for a Zareba nor can I wait until I can buy one so please don’t suggest it.
I am fencing off 2-3 acres for 3 well behaved horses who don’t test the fence so I don’t need high end high dollar models.
I will be using wire and tape as my fencing with tposts.
So knowing all of that, thoughts on Blitzer fence chargers?
I ran a ton of electric fencing over the years for livestock. The brand doesn’t matter a lot, IMO. Get the energizer with the highest Joule output you can afford. Plug ins are the cheapest. If that doesn’t work because there’s no power source, DC powered energizers that run off a deep cycle marine/RV battery are the next cheapest. Solar is significantly more expensive.
