Unless they cut length off the heels the reshaped shoes are still the same size.
It’s easy enough to tell if the farrier made, or used a smaller shoe just by matching up the old shoe with the new one, which is easy to do because the shoes will be a very similar shape because they were both shaped to fit the same hoof.
