Opinions/reviews needed for Back on Track and magnetic/therapeutic sheets

I have the hock boots, and I think they’ve made a difference in the way he goes after I’ve had them on. Hard to really tell though. I also have the 1/4 sheet and he wears that under blankets sometimes and I think it does make a difference under saddle also.

I’ve used the mesh sheet and the saddle pad on my horse. Both definitely seem to help, like others said, in decreasing our warm up time and helping with general stiffness. My coworker has a dog bed for her older, very active Border Collie and swears by it! I’ve used the gloves myself because I got them free with another purchase a year or two ago but I’ve got small hands and they seem to run a hair big (or they used to) so they don’t fit super well. I don’t use them very often because of that although I’ve worn them in a pinch. I don’t have any “hand unsoundness” so I can’t comment on if they help me or not!

So here is my anectdotal evidence based on having the BOT mesh sheet on my young horse for five hours prior to competing yesterday. He was a different horse, loose, rounding his back, and dropping his head (too low) within about 30 seconds of my getting on him. I was shocked at the horse I had and was not entirely sure of how to ride him. Our dressage test was not our personal best (stupid error due to my being complacent at the lower levels, grrr) and I just did not push him forward like I should have. I could’ve easily dropped another 5 points off that score if I had ridden him more forward and engaged. In my own defense, I think I was so amazed at this loosey goosey creature that had morphed under the BOT Sheet that I just did not ride more assertively.

If the change had not been so dramatic, I would’ve attributed it to chance or placebo. But it was dramatic. This is a horse that has no arthritis but does tend to get sore due to lack of strength/muscling (he is still growing).

So I am now trying my darnedest to get that stupid tab off the shoulder and am having a dickens of a time doing that. Frustrating.

Did the quarter sheet run true to sz?

I have a Norfields magnetic mesh sheet that I have had for about 15 years. I think it helps. It certainly makes the horses relaxed. They usually nap when they have it on. Even my most piggy horse, to my dismay, stopped eating his hay and went to sleep for a while when I put it on him a couple weeks ago.

I have a BOT shoulder and neck thingy. I don’t wear it much. I have never noticed that it helped me other than to keep that area warm.
