"Oscar"- Bay british riding pony

I am currently searching for a Bay British Riding pony that went by the name of Oscar.

In my younger years i rode with Sara McCormick of Orchard Hill Farm when she was in CT. She bought 2 ponies off the slaughter/auction truck, one of which i still have and was a very successful show pony.

The other pony was Oscar, a bay, bigger medium with a star and i think maybe one sock. He was very very fancy but very very green and young. I do have one photo of him somewhere. He was too big for me at the time (i was a tiny mite) and i couldnt handle something too big for me and obviously extremely green when i was at that age. I must’ve been 8 or so.

We kept him and had some miles put on him and then re-sold him to the Demerville’s who also lived in CT at the time. I have been in contact with the girl who bought him as a project and rode him and she said they put some miles on him and then sold him through Fred Beecher’s barn in CT.

I can say that this pony had a LOT of promise to be a big time show pony; he just needed miles and some training, he was very fancy but just young and hadnt been worked with much. I wouldnt be surprised if he did end up somewhere on the big show circuit.

I never rode him much when we owned him as i had my others to ride and i just didnt feel comfortable riding him at the time. He was too big and too green. the older pony kids rode him for me and put the miles on and then he was sold through my trainer.

Id like to know if anyone knows this pony. he’s probably in his mid-teens to late teens now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. i will try to find that photo and upload it.

Thanks!
