Our favorite dressage master's horse on a OTTB sale site

Her Jockey Club name is Celestial Lady; she’s the 2008 model. Decent pedigree for eventing, methinks.

You’re correct, her JC name is not Carpathia. I’m blanking on her track name atm, so sorry! I could have sworn I saw it listed on another thread, but apparently my search skills are not up to snuff this morning. Hopefully someone with a better memory than me will chime in :o

Update: hahaha whoops ^^^^

I hope someone knowledgeable buys her. She must be a saint of a horse not to have killed him by now

I will continue to jingle that she lands softly!

I wish I had the funds and the space but I have neither.

Would carefully consider whether she’s sound enough for eventing

If he dumped her at an auction, why would he still be posting for sale ads for her?

I found this link regarding Celestial Lady:

The youtube link within the posted link/thread is probably where she was before NP got her?
I wish someone would buy her. What are her injuries mentioned in the link?

Carpathia looks so much better in that video than she does since NP has been ‘improving’ her.

I registered for that site and will post a link to his facebook page if I get approved (if no one else beats me to it). If someone is still looking for her she shouldn’t be hard to find. It would be a win-win for him. He could get rid of her under the guise of “doing the right thing” by the horse, thus saving face.

I’m curious about the injuries and lameness people mention. She’s not an old horse, I hope whatever it is she can recover fully. She looks like she could be a nice mare for the right rider.

Edited to add that I hope someone really is looking for her. I’ve learned that everything is not always what it appears to be when it comes to the “maestro”.

@mswillie Above poster that ad was posted many, many years ago. Folks situations change. Soft spot to fall doesn’t often mean a $5k price tag. Many horses coming off the track have injuries from the hard work. Often just resting them can resolve some issues.

Her condition or lack theirof is his lack of riding over the winter. Not to mention him always saying he doesn’t ride for a very long time. So her fitness and stamina are not like that earlier video.

And then, riding all wrong when he does ride.
Honestly, if he hasn’t ridden her all winter, and is now selling her… good. She’s got a better chance, if you ask me, the less he’s been pretending at upper level.

The date on the post was 2/4/2017. If someone is still looking, fine. If not, no harm done.

Hmmmm…awaiting his upcoming video this week on how to lunge a horse…mainly because I want to see recent Carpathia footage. I can’t buy her, regrettably, but I really, really like her.

She is a sweet mare, must be some sort of saint…

It seems he recently moved barns, for whatever reason, so I imagine that now he is having to pay full board, rather than ‘training’ to offset costs.

I have seen a couple of ads from the last few days, one where she is listed with jumping potential, and the other she is purely a dressage horse.

I hope she does get a new owner, but can’t imagine the nightmare of dealing with the Maestro…

Repeated post…content removed.

Apparently she is being boarded in Southampton NJ. Wonder if anyone has any connections to find out the barn name.
