With Bit of Britain’s free shipping and sale, I paid $159 total.
The first 3 days they were a little tight across the ball of my foot (I have really wide feet, and really skinny calves), not painful, just tight. After 3 days they molded perfectly.
Wore them to coach during those first days, and my only complaint was “quitter socks” - you know, when your socks fall down under your feet! This has not been a problem since, so maybe socks were due for retirement anyway.
Here in FL we have heavy, heavy dew in the mornings, and my feet stay dry and comfortable. I have also worn them in nasty mud, rain, and puddles, and my feet have stayed dry.
I have also worn them out, to restaurants, etc and have received many, many compliments from complete strangers!
So I give them 2 thumbs up; my only wish is that they came in a “narrow calf”, but most people don’t have my hobbit feet coupled with “extra long, extra narrow” calfs!
