Ovation Helmet Safety Recall

Do any of you know anything about this? I just saw an alert about it at Amazon. But there is no actual information, nor is there a link. It just says to check the public notice. But where is the notice? Again, there is no link.

I Googled the helmet and “recall” and found a Canadian website, but the info given is not clear as to WHICH Ovation helmet/s. One is shown, but it is not the same as mine, and although other helmets are implied there is no info about them. No style numbers, nothing.

No US info at all – and, surprisingly, considering recent news items, nothing about the Virginia Tech helmet study.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. So I’m posting this plea for help. If any of you know any details about this recall, please post here! Thanks.

This has a picture of the tag. There may not be model numbers, but it is the Ovation Protege style.

Now I just need to get my helmet down off the shelf and look at its number.

It got recalled after the last big helmet testing that came out. Not sure how it now doesn’t pass ASTM standards since I assume it passed originally?!
