Over stimulated and now can't sleep

I went to the 2015 Festival of Hunting at Peterborough today. I saw foxhounds, harriers, beagles, bassets, bloodhounds, draghounds, fellhounds, greyhounds, whippets, salukies, deerhounds, wolfhounds, terriers. I can source new hunt coats, old hunt coats, hunt buttons, hunting gloves, new hunting whips with 5 different styles of handle, vintage hunt whips, people who will repair whips, I can obtain new lashes in leather or in nylon, new hats and top boots, art depicting hunting (that cost me), books about hunting, fruit gins that can be labelled to raise funds for a hunt, gifts for people who hunt, cushions for people who hunt to sit on once they get home, lampshades decorated with hounds and horses so one can have light whilst looking for that fruit gin… And that was aside from the equine classes and the inter-hunt relay for which we had only very limited time. Did fit in a cream tea, however. I am now so busy thinking about everything I saw today I can not sleep.

The pack did fairly well, 3 firsts and a third. Our huntsman hates showing (he is very shy) and missed out on the biscuit training this year. Three more months and off we go again.

Jealous, oh so jealous!

Sounds like it was worth losing a little sleep tonight.

This entire post is so amazing that I just want to rub my anonymous naked body against my laptop screen right now. #WillSheOrWontShe

Thanks for sharing!

:: looks in trick or treat bag :: I got a rock.

I now have a list (in the program) of company websites to obtain all kinds of things to do with hunting. Most seemed to have an international market and/or were willing to be as helpful as possible. I will try to put them on the forum when a question is raised because I had a good look at most stands and now feel better able to say if the products are good or otherwise.

But here is the link http://festivalofhunting.com/confirmed-tradestands-for-2015/. Have fun.
