Overbite and bitting

Does anyone have a horse with an overbite (i.e. parrot mouth) and if so, what bit do they go best in?
My horse has an overbite but can go in a normal bit. I was thinking that the slightly shorter lower jaw may make a certain bit with an action (i.e. bars vs. corners of mouth vs. tongue) more favorable than others. I didn’t know if this is still just individual horse preference, or if there was an anatomical logic behind the action of one over another.
I was hoping for others experiences. Thank you!

I had one years ago with a huge parrot mouth. I found bitting was no different for him than any other horse. Just have to watch for developing that front hook on the upper first molar, eg needs more regular dentistry work than some others.

I remember a school pony years ago with quite a parrot mouth. There was no difference in bitting her vs. other ponies. In fact, I believe she shared her bridle with another pony. The only catch was being extra careful when taking her bridle OFF so that the bit didn’t get hung up in her teeth.

My older guy has a very slight overbite, but his bite, according to my dentist, is great. He goes in a HS Duo because he hates metal bits, but I think that is more him being special than because he has an overbite.
