I am looking for a nice headstall (doesn’t have to be show quality, but good leather and good workmanship) for my gelding; he is 16.3 and wears a warmblood sized bridle in English tack. I would be really happy to find someone who would do an affordable custom piece - minor preference for slide ear over browband, but am open to either - browband measures 17.5, and headstall 41.25
And…go!
I got a nice bridle from marisita saddlery on eBay. mine was stock but I know they do custom too. I was able to select the style, leather color and Jeremiah watt buckles. I think it was under $70 shipped, very nice leather and workmanship.

I went with a woman named Tangia Kay on Facebook. Her stock headstalls fit my draft cross. Leather is nice and thick. I am very happy.

They were under $100 for the two. I was able to pick the conchos and get a little extra custom bling on the one ear.
Check with local saddle shops, they may be able to find something or make something for you. I know of a few near me that usually carry oversized gear, but I usually try ebay or other online tack shops for specialized tack like that.
www.coloradosaddlery.net has some, call and ask which ones fit large horses, and order an extra long throat latch.
If you add snaps to most bridles the cheek pieces will be long enough for a lg horse.
You might look for mule headstalls. My mule wears a mule western headstall and an oversize English bridle.
Here is a nice, basic mule headstall that doesn’t have the crown snap like many mule bridles do:
I have a couple of Amish shops I use for this. If you’re near an Amish community ask around.
