Here we are… almost 4 months later.
I absolutely LOVED everyone’s insight. Thank you.
Here’s what I found :
TB is still terrible. She’s pushy and entitled, but more and more others have noticed the holes. Boarders were lost as a result. BO seems to not care? TB is on a serious pedestal.
I personally gave up trying to help the BO. It’s fundamentally not ok to match the wrong horse (hotter than hot) to the timid rider. I’ve watched TB lunge BO horse in such a tight circle with her head strapped down too many times. And the outcome is as expected, hotter than hot pony is now so hot and coiled up, scary for this pro to watch. But, I was smart how I bowed out of that situation. BO said she’s going to “try TB theory” My reply “oh yes, I don’t want you to get confused while I’m helping you and your horse relax” (I mean, isn’t that a major component of dressage? Lol)
Done. I don’t share any training tips or help, or even care about progress. They both ruined that.
TB has seem to solidify a relationship with one other unsuspecting new dressage rider. More unreasonable expectations… ( new rider thinks she’s hitting the National circuit on her trail horse) not my monkeys, nor my circus. It’s funny because they think they are better than the rest of us. And it’s palpable.
How I solved my arena sharing: I was pushy and didn’t take any prisoners. Not my style but it worked.
The looks I received from TB as I mounted a kiddo on a cute pony. Now the weather has broke, I can actually ride outside away from her. That’s the way I like it! (They don’t ride outside the outdoor, it’s too scary)
Y’all… thank you. You talked me off the ledge.
