Owyhee Bonanza - Jose and I ride in the snow so you don't have to!

Plus, if you’ve ever enjoyed the old TV show Bonanza, you’ll get a chuckle out of this video!

Beautiful…and I admire your fortitude for riding out in what must have been some seriously cold temps! Is Owyhee, Idaho close to the Oregon border? Gorgeous country, but seriously cold in the winter, right?

That was fun and well done! Pats to Jose!

Our snow has a layer of ice in it, not so fun at all. Thanks for sharing, I can sit here where it’s warm!

That was very entertaining! Loved the video and music and LOVE your horse’s name.

Thanks everybody, it was fun to make! (creating and burning the map cracked me up, particularly because the map kept blowing away as I tried to burn it just right).
Calvincrowe, We are in the SW corner of Idaho. The Oregon border is probably about 20 miles as the Raven flies… but takes about an hour to get there on roads! It’s usually not that cold here. although we did hit -16* in December! but that was a record. It’s mostly on average in the 20’s during the day and teens at night. although it’s been rather wacky the last 2-3 winters.

I thought about riding in the snow, but the snow is halfway up the gate and would be difficult to open, not to mention the ice underneath, sigh.

This is last week in Ontario. My DD riding her clyde x mare in deep snow, with ice under the powder snow… so being careful. It was cold and the snow was very deep in some spots. They both enjoyed it though. Riding bareback with a blanket and the mare is shedding like crazy…
