Oxine Recipe, questions about the water

Hi all, I’ve been through all of the old threads regarding Oxine as a replacement for The huge Lightening.

My question is, if it’s the same thing as white lightening, why does it require 1 gallon of water?

I also read a thread where someone used a ratio of
4oz Oxine
4oz Vinegar
4oz Water

Someone help, I’m lost.

It doesn’t unless you are cleaning a chicken barn.

I use 2 oz of Oxine and 2 oz Vinegar. I don’t add water.

I might be an idiot and going off of the recipe with citric acid .

How often do you repeat the soak?

My farrier had me do it weekly for 4 weeks. You can use citric acid, I just don’t know the recipe.
