Is this just an unfortunate mistake in the changing of wording or another attempt to quash the industry?

I have no secret insight, but I am hopeful that it is just a mistake. I haven’t read anything that makes me think that there wasn’t an intention to pay the bonuses as the language should have read.

I am hoping to get my bonus money eventually!

Terribly, terribly sad. Thanks for the link. I try not to always suspect that sneaky things are afoot but I hope it’s just not another way to quash racing through legislating. It smells a bit funny, imo. Oh, and, of course, they can’t just get it fixed now and get those payments out. :uhoh:

I’ve heard from reliable sources that this was NOT an accident. Doc Solomon lobbied to have the wording changed exactly as it is. Feel free to spread the word and more importantly boycott all of his stallions and don’t buy any of his foals. F-him!
