Paddock Boot Reviews

Has anyone tried these paddock boots?

I’m looking for something to replace my ancient Ariats, and don’t love the newer model Ariats.

I prefer brown, and also need a narrower / lower profile ankle than the Grand Prix b/c my half chaps won’t fit over the super tall ones.

These look interesting, but Waldo interested in other suggestions if you’ve got them! Preference would be to stay under $300, by I would go a bit higher for the perfect boot. My current boots have been kicking around for 7 or 8 years, so happy to pay for quality & durability.

i have these here and they are fabulous !!

Drooling here, especially over the ones at Malvern. I ride too much to own such expensive paddock boots. Between riding and getting them wet washing my horse, etc. They would not last long enough!
I have Ariat zipper water proof and Ariat fits me well so I will stick with them…Darn.
Please let me know if you get them and how they are!!!

wow!! lovely thread!! keep them coming!!

Another vote for Tonics. Dover has them. They are a bit narrower fitting than Ariats — I’m on my second pair. I bathtubbed my first pair and they are fine with thin socks. My second pair is 1/2 size up and will be fine with thicker socks for winter.

The reinforcement on the outside, where the outside stirrup bar goes, is a great idea.

I’ve never worn the Sarm boots but I’ve seen them in person and they’re stunning!

I had a pair of Tonics but passed them on (unworn) to my then-trainer, as they were a bit too big and I wasn’t wild about the Euro-sporty styling. Very comfy, though - Schockemoehle put a lot of work into their development and you can tell.

My current “nice paddock” recommendation is Parlanti. I have the Z2, which runs around $350. They are seriously as comfortable as my Nikes and very elegant to boot.

The Tonics made by Schokmouele are waterproof !! Love them and the half chaps!!

I purchased my Tonics Stardusts on Amazon for $180 + free shipping

Love them and although they are a slightly different model than Dover’s, I would never ever pay Dover’s prices.

Try Tucci. Malvern carries them. They are expensive but they are the only boots I can find that zip that fit my narrow feet. They are very comfortable. I am replacing a zipper on one of the boots now but they are used almost every day. I would definitely buy them again despite the price. They are comfortable, very pretty to look at and am hoping I can get 5-8 years out of them. Ariats are too wide for me. And they don’t hold up.
