I love riding in my paddock boots and half chaps. But I need to find paddock boots with a wider toe box. I gave up on the Blundstones because they were falling apart constantly. Any suggestions out there? Thanks.
Ariat RT (round toe) is better than most with respect to a wide toe box.
Even the new Blundstones with the higher heel? I wear mine all day every day and bath horses – they have lasted a year so far
I am also interested in this. I have Blundstones 505’s and they have held up well, but would like a boot that has a good foot-bed and I can wear all day.
I have these and they are very comfortable.

Ariat Barnyard are sturdy and extremely comfortable for my wide, flat feet. Supportive footbed, room to wiggle my toes. Great on the ground and in the saddle.
I have Hoof and Woof paddock boots. they toe box is big enough to easily fit my orthotics. I have been impressed with them so far…
Dover has the Ariat square toe. lots more toe room.
These aren’t true riding boots but this is what I use. They actually come in wide sizes too. Plus they are on sale and I am going to order another pair. Mine are 7 years old and they didn’t come in wide back when I got those. I have had surgery on both feet and they are very touchy, delicate but need a lot of support. These fit the bill.

Yeah, I tried these things on and they have massive amounts of room up front.
What about toe box depth? The RT looks to have a lot of room both width and height (depth) of the toe box, does the square toe have plenty of depth to the toe box?
If you like Blundstones, try Redback boots. I have the model that is water resistant with a steel toe. They have plenty of room in the toe and hold up well.
I like the Ariat RT zips. I size up half a size and put my orthotic in. The zipper on the old pair finally gave out after about five years of daily use. I have had my new pair for over a year now.
YES! The Redback hold up much better than Blundstone’s. I just got a great pair of Keen’s that are wide and sturdy.
I ride with steel toed blundstones and there is plenty of room in the foot. Might be worth trying some on.
I have the Ariat round toe paddock boots and love them - but after about 1 year and a half of use they are cracked through the side (where my little toe is) with HOLES I can poke a finger through, so I need to replace them.
I’ve been searching around for sales, but they don’t seem to have them for less than $129 ANYWHERE! :sigh: Dover has the lace up version on sale, but A) I have two wrecked thumbs and lacing is hard, and B) Ariat laces blow donkey dung IME. Of course I could always just put new laces in, but I’m too lazy
Dammit.
The other suggestions for wide footbed paddock boots seem to all have thicker tops (I have a few pairs, one a winter paddock boot - and I can’t zip my half chaps over them!), so this is a legit issue.

I realize $600 for a pair of paddock boots sounds Kuh-Rayzee.
But they are custom-made to fit your foot.
And consider how often you might need to replace OTC brands costing $100+.
My current pair is now 18yo, still very comfortable & in good shape (not due to my care :o).
They are my Go To for riding as well as getting used for daily wear in cooler weather.
I recommend the slip-on version, replacing zips can be a problem as only Dehner carries the correct sized zipper.
I learned this after trying to replace zips locally in my last pair of Dehners - after 15yrs the zips died from arena grit.
Boots went to Nebraska twice, 2 more times than I ever did.
