Paddock boots

What’s everyone’s favorite insulated waterproof paddock boot these days?

Blundstone.
Edited to add water resistant, not waterproof.

Dubbary - my first pair lasted 6 years of no care and every day, hard use. I now have a few pairs and have walked through creeks with the tall boots on. Dry, comfortable, and good for riding and working around the horses, in my experience.

I used to always get the Ariat insulated paddock boots- I think they are H2O extreme. They worked great. I prefer taller boots now to keep warmth in.

My Ariats are 8+ years of regular use. I have filled holes in the toe with shoe goo, the soles are actually still good its the toes that are giving out. Anyway thinking of getting new ones, how are you finding the quality of the new Ariats?

I’ve had several pairs of the tall Ariat extreme boots and they always hold up for several years. I haven’t used the paddock boots for quite a while. I don’t need to do chores or other barn work in them though. Last year I got the Coniston Pros on sale and they are very nice. I mainly like the fit of Ariats and the thinsulate for warmth. They’re waterproof for my purposes.

The new Ariat paddock boots are terrible… I wore mine out in 1.5 years riding only… while my 8 year old pair are still kicking, elastic is a little loose around the ankle and I did have them resoled but still functional for home use.

One thing I did do was add wool insoles for winter… total game changer on how warm my feet stayed.

The last two pair have lasted less than six months! I wore them to two to three times a week to school, teaching, rarely to the barn. After one semester I needed new ones for school. After a couple of months they started falling apart from light barn use and me keeping them clean. I do have a pair of Ariats from many years ago that are still good but overall the quality is very poor now.
